A well-established law firm based in the City of London is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with a minimum of 3 years' secretarial experience within a legal environment.

The Role

Supporting fee earners and the wider department, the successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial assistance while helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing, editing, and formatting legal documents, correspondence, and reports

Managing diaries, arranging meetings, and coordinating schedules for senior stakeholders

Providing comprehensive administrative support including scanning, filing, document management, and archiving

Handling incoming calls professionally, taking accurate messages, and directing enquiries appropriately

Assisting with billing processes, invoices, and related financial administration

Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based filing systems

Supporting colleagues across the wider secretarial team during busy periods and annual leave cover

Adapting to changing workloads and prioritising tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

About You

Minimum 3 years' experience in a secretarial or legal support role

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

Confident communicator with a professional and client-focused approach

Proficient in Microsoft Office and document formatting

Able to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure

Flexible, reliable, and a strong team player
